Place one tablespoon of butter in a microwavable safe bowl, and then place a microwavable safe plate on top of the bowl to prevent splattering. Place bowl and plate in microwave, and heat butter for 30 seconds. or until butter is completely melted.
While butter is melting, whisk together eggs, flour, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a separate bowl with a fork until most lumps are gone. Small, remaining lumps are acceptable.
When butter is melted, remove bowl and plate from microwave. Uncover microwaveable bowl and add mixture.
Replace plate on top of bowl, and place covered bowl into the microwave.
Microwave for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. Watch for mixture to rise to the point that it begins to lift the plate off of the bowl. Turn off the microwave when this occurs.
Remove bowl from microwave, then remove plate.
Add favorite topping onto German Pancakes.
